Dear friends,

I trust you are all well and excited about the opportunities that 2012 will bring your way. I’m very excited about the future because I know that a crisis always equals an opportunity. This was true of previous recessions and is certainly true of this one.

History has proven over and over again that the difference between winning and losing in a recession is KNOWLEDGE! Those in the know have an amazing ability not only to survive a recession but also to thrive in it.  The real casualties are typically the mis-educated masses who don’t know the new rules for winning in a new economy. They are still playing the old game by the old rules even though the real game has changed all together!

Sadly, most people are going to slide down the social and economic scale for one reason and one reason only. It’s not inflation, unemployment, or austerity; it is something much worse than that: it’s IGNORANCE!

They will slide downwards; losing jobs, homes, savings and dreams because they don’t know how to make money without a job. They don’t have an entrepreneur’s mind-set or skill-set. They don’t know how to think and act like an independent entrepreneur and they don’t know that there are 10 times more opportunities for independent entrepreneurs than there are jobs listed in the British job market!

If you are going to make a New Year’s resolution; let it be this: I’m going to learn how to make money in 2012. That’s a commitment to studying and growing your economic skills. But that is just part 1 of the resolution:
